Lacus Clyne from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

Aah, Lacus. I love Lacus. Gundam SEED is good, standard Gundam fare, but damn Lacus is an awesome character. I feel like a pretty princess in this costume. It’s a nice change from the usual stuff I make.
Construction. I drafted most of my own patterns for this, except the pleated skirt which I didn’t use any pattern for. The hair clip is the official one released by Bandai, I got it on eBay. I bought the Haro robot on Yahoo! Japan Actions using a shopping service (Crescent Trading or whatever they’re called). I LOVE my Haro, he makes this costume twice as fun. The wig was one of those showgirl wigs from Cosworx, with bangs added to it. By the way, that wig is completely garbage quality considering its price, I don’t recommend buying it. Getting it to look presentable was a struggle, and it still looks scraggly in most of these photos.
