Halloween will be here before we know it, and that means it’s time to start planning out your costume! Every year, there’s a new rotation of character concepts and specific outfits that become popular, so if you’re into trendy costuming it’s a good idea to keep tabs on what’s hot. With that in mind, here are our picks for the 10 best characters for costumes this year!

10. The Lone Ranger
This may not have been the most popular film of the year, but the “Lone Ranger” getup still makes for a great (and simple) costume. Really, you can pull it off with just the hat and mask! Johnny Depp’s “Tonto” outfit isn’t a bad option either.

9. Max da Costa
This is Matt Damon’s character in “Elysium,” and if you can work out the costume should be pretty neat. A bald cap will get you started, but then you’ll need to rig up the exoskeleton worn by Damon throughout most of the film.

8. Iron Man
Iron Man may seem like old news, but he’s still wildly popular. Not only was “Iron Man 3” just this year, but the character is all over the place in pop culture. For example, Tesla mastermind Elon Musk recently credited a stunning new technology to Iron Man inspiration. And if you visit the Games page at betfaircasino.com, you’ll even find real money gambling games that use the character of Iron Man! These games add pop culture fun to ordinary online gambling. Long story short, it’s still a popular character!

7. Pepper Potts
Also popular was Gwyneth Paltrow’s tougher, grittier “Pepper Pots” from “Iron Man 3” Her attire is fairly ordinary, but you could use the fact that she eventually turns a glowing orange color due to biological enhancements!

6. Monsters
Specifically, the characters from “Monsters, Inc.” make for great kids’ costumes this year.

5. Katniss Everdeen
The 2nd “Hunger Games” film won’t come out until after Halloween, but if you visit the images section at screenrant.com, you can find stunning photos of Katniss in beautiful dresses.

4. Superman
Again, a so-so movie but a great costume. The “Man Of Steel” is going to be back on the streets this Halloween.

3. Walter White
The dark protagonist from AMC’s “Breaking Bad” is a simple, but immediately recognizable costume to pull off. A bald cap, glasses, a fake goatee, simple shirt and pants and some Clarks and you’re there!

2. Daisy Buchanan
The popular character was stunning on screen earlier this year in the form of Carey Mulligan, and offered multiple outfits that inspire glamorous 1920’s costumes.

1. Jay Gatsby
Finally, there’s Gatsby, the true image of the year in film so far. DiCaprio’s Gatsby was every bit as polished and handsome as we might expect from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s character, and a good Gatsby guise can be great this year!
